Carla Fitzgerald is an author of children's books specialising in middle-grade novels and picture books.

Carla's middle-grade novel How to be Prime Minister and Survive Grade Five is published by UQP and her picture book Keeping Up with the Dachshunds is published by Larrikin House. She is working on her second middle grade novel.

Carla has honours degrees in arts (English Literature) and law. Before she discovered the joys of making stuff up, she worked for a judge, as a lawyer in private practice and at the Australian Human Rights Commission.
